Half Day Training Course - Autistic Children & Young People Displaying Problematic or Harmful Sexual Behaviour.

A "MUST" attend for professionals supporting children and young people in any professional capacity including social care, health and education.

This half day course will provide you with a better understanding and overview of the complexities of harmful and problematic sexual behaviour, displayed by autistic children and young people, highlighting a theme of overrepresentation.

We will explore this via a continuum of behaviour and highlight the practical approaches and interventions required at differing stages of escalation, considering the need for a child-centred, individualised response.

THE LEARNING OUTCOMES WILL BE:

• An understanding of supporting autistic children and young people displaying problematic or harmful sexual behaviour
• Increased knowledge in providing interventions and assessments
• An understanding of sensory and communication needs
• An understanding of aspects of vulnerability to consider within this group
