Research shows anxiety is common amongst autistic children and adults which can bring difficulties at home, school and the workplace. This training course will make you think differently about anxiety and autism, we will provide you with a better understanding in this area and course tutor Jim Taylor will be sharing his in depth knowledge, experience, effective practical strategies and tips.

The great thing about the course is it’s E learning so all you need is a desktop computer, iPad or mobile to watch the e learning video and internet connection to join us on zoom for the live session
1/ TEACH – Building Your Knowledge
Firstly, you’ll listen to your course tutor’s 15 min E learning video, which you can listen to anywhere and at your own time through a link we supply you with.
2/ TRY – Learning through “Hands On” Practical
The video is full of tried and tested practical strategies, ideas and tips for you to try out over a period of time.
To get the most out of the learning experience its best you do try out some of the practical strategies and ideas offered but it’s not compulsory!!! You’re still able to attend the live interactive session if you don’t try them!
3/ Talk - Interactive Learning that makes a real difference
You then are invited to join us at the Live Interactive Workshop accessed via zoom

Course tutor Jim Taylor will be providing you with more guidance, practical strategies and tips, you can share your experiences and gain supportive feedback to instill confidence along with time to put your questions to Jim.

Meet Your Tutor – Jim Taylor
Apart from being an enthusiastic tutor and easy to listen to, Jim has had a 40 year career (so far!) in Education and in the field of Autism with a wide range of experience, from teaching children with Autism from preschool age right through to the transition into adulthood including being the Director of Education, Scottish Autism. He has also has worked with a variety of services providing support to adults. Jim has seen how significant progress can be made when positive, meaningful partnerships are made with individuals, families and professionals. Jim received the NAS Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 and OCALI Award for Excellence in Education Leadership 2015.
